The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The support stage produced for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to help the servicing of all shoppers and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
